It's a Good Day

My baby is 9 months old today, she's happy, healthy, and oh so beautiful! Before I left for work today I gave her a little kiss, so as to not wake her, and said "Happy 9th month birthday my love" and told Riley to take pictures of her. Can you believe it's been 9 months? Where has the time gone, how did she get so big, why am I still holding on to my pregnancy weight, ugh well that's another post.

Not only do I have the best baby, I have the best baby daddy. He recently got laid off and has really made Maria and keeping the house clean his job. Everyday I come home I am thoroughly impressed. He manages to keep Maria happy and clean the house at the same time. I have to admit, our house has never, and I mean never, looked better. He's made a happy baby, a happy mama and a happy home and he should be really proud of himself.

I know how hard it is to lose a job and Riley has really taken it in stride. I'm really proud of him and I'm oh so grateful for my family and my great life.

Now it's your turn. Take a little time today and write down or just think about what you're grateful for and it's then and only then you will truly realize how great your life is.

Oprah

Since the new season of Oprah started I have been recording it to watch later and sometimes roping Riley into watching it, which he hates, but I must say this has turned out to be a really good season. Now I mention this because it is yet another show I'm recording to watch later but later is so filled up with all the other shows I'm saving for later. So I've decided, no new shows, none. I really need to start watching less t.v. I need to be more active and enjoy more t.v.less time. So is anyone else feeling this way, feeling like life revolves around what's on primetime? I guess I'm trying to change this because Maria will learn by example and I want to show her that there is more to life than eating and t.v which is the bulk of what Riley and I do.

We've decided to move in the treadmill, which is brand new and never been used. We're going to take more walks and we're going to be better teachers because as parents that's essentially what we are. So here's to new adventures, new eating habits, new exercise habits, and new parenting habits!!

By the way being a mom is so fun especially around the holiday's. Keep an eye out in your mail for Halloween greetings!
